Learning to swim is a progression.
Our Learn to Swim programme combines a structured swimming curriculum with positive, individual teaching, helping children develop the skills they need while growing increasingly confident and comfortable in the water.
We have a clear destination in mind.
But we understand that not every child will take exactly the same route to get there.
We have a curriculum. But we teach the child.
What makes the Super star approach different?

Every child brings something different to the pool personality, confidence, previous experiences, physical ability and their own way of learning.
Our teachers recognise that and adapt the way they engage and teach accordingly.

The fun children experience in the pool is backed by training, methodology and a structured curriculum designed to build swimming skills progressively.
Progress is personal.
We want children to progress. But progress doesn’t always look the same.
For one child, success might be swimming their first length.
For another, it might be putting their face in the water for the first time.
And for another, it may simply be walking happily towards the pool after previously feeling nervous.
Those small moments matter because they’re what bigger progress is built on.
What will my child learn?
Learn to Swim builds the foundations children need to become increasingly confident and capable swimmers.
As they progress, teachers continually assess when each swimmer is ready for their next challenge, so lessons develop at the right pace.
And once those foundations are established, there is a clear pathway into Stroke Development and the next stage of their Super star swimming journey.
What if my child is nervous about swimming?
Then that’s where we’ll start.
Fear or uncertainty around water doesn’t mean your child can’t become a confident swimmer.
Sometimes they simply need the right teacher, environment and pace.
Our teachers take time to build a relationship with swimmers and understand what is holding them back before expecting them to move forward.
It might take a little patience.
But the moment a child who wouldn’t let go suddenly does, or the child who wouldn’t put their face in the water proudly shows you that they can, is exactly why we believe confidence and swimming ability need to grow together.
